Certified Nurse Midwife Care
A certified nurse-midwife (CNM) is someone who has been trained in two disciplines: midwifery and nursing. CNMs are licensed in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. They are experts, held to the rigorous standards of practice set by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) and by state licensing organizations.
A CNM can provide both reassuring support and medical expertise while helping you to give birth naturally. In addition to providing complete obstetrical care for healthy women, a CNM offers preconception counseling and gynecological care including breast examinations, pap smears, family planning services, and consultation and/or referrals according to your needs.
Carrie Croucher is currently the CNM on staff at GYN OB Associates. Her profile and bio is available under the Practitioners section of this website. Carrie assists expectant moms throughout their pregnancies and helps them to experience natural childbirth in a safe and welcoming environment.
